# 31 Faith, based on what? Ga 3:6, Heb 11:1.

I personally have faith, in God the creator of life and his identity as a loving benefactor and Father, in his word, and in that people can achieve greatness, that is, a life worth living, in peaceful surroundings, without fear of anything.

I have touched on some points of reason and the education afforded me, within these Blog's.

I would like to list some things that have built me up, and helped me get a foothold on the future.

Faith is like an onion of Gold, the layers just keep growing over time, may yours be the same.

It started from my childhood on, I reasoned, "There must be a God" "Why else would all these crazy people be running around talking about religion and going on about Jesus' Miracle's and stuff like that".

That curiosity set me on the path to search for the truth and God.

No!, I was not from a spiritually minded family, None went to church, but most seemed to have a measure of respect for God, whoever he was. There was not any obvious form of devotion to God or a religion among my relatives.

I did attend scripture classes at school, but really learned little more than some man named Jesus did some miracles, and again at an after school Group, where we did little more than colour in and sing a couple of songs.

That's around the age when my brother and I Joked that Jesus was talking to himself when praying. (see the Blog "Clover").

Over the years I began to notice things in nature, Insects of endless variety. Beauty in wildlife from the land and sea and that life has precious value. Even basic things like; "If you plant a seed, the plant will grow! Wow!"

The critical information for life in the tiniest of seeds is guaranteed to produce the exact plant it is intended to, it is perfect. And it doesn't matter from what family you come, anyone can work the ground and love it. Either for food as some of my neighbours on farms, or, growing beautiful plants for pleasure, with a seemingly endless variety. Anyone can do it.

Then one day, a companion, while we were bush walking, came across the leg off of a small bird, bigger than a sparrow, not by much though, fully intact. Sticking out of the top was the end of a tendon. It must have been left by a predator.

I know it might sound a bit gross, but what I saw was fascinating. He pulled on the tendon while holding the leg and the foot closed tight, it was amazing. I put my finger under the foot, he pulled, and it gripped, very tightly. Just one tendon operated the entire sequence of movement. So, obviously a bird must have a single, little muscle, I thought, that when pulling, ever so gently on the tendon, it was enough to support the bird on a branch, probably even asleep, Amazing Design.

Yes, Design! How can something so simple yet so perfect be a mistake or chance, I thought.

Darwin's "THEORY", was quickly dismissed in my mind. His "theory", not facts, was adopted by "Science", that is that life was evolved and as many have come to the added conclusion mistake, just Chance.

But the intricacy and perfection in life of all it's kinds, to me are inexcusable and undeniable evidence of intelligent design.

When you break it down. Every system in the human body, for example, is a mastery of engineering, of design. They propose that the circulatory system just evolved, happened.

To say that the Skeletal and muscular systems was a mistake. That our digestive system Just happened to come about? Is just a stretch too far.

Have you considered the Kidney for example; It's function is baffling. Somehow it filters the blood, selects the dead blood cells and passes them through the renal system, without loosing one cell of healthy blood. How?

The lungs and heart that just won't quit? Sustaining life by a constant process? To me it is also amazing.

It wasn't till I studied the Bible with Jehovah's witnesses that I got a logical explanation.

Genesis explains; God created according to "Kinds".

Each group of living creatures are in Kinds, or Family groups. A Dog cannot mate with a Horse, can it? He can however mate with a different breed of Dog. And that is where variety comes in, in Animal life. "Finches" for example, in Kinds, variety results!

And as for changes within a Group, even humans can develop small Genetic changes due to Environmental Stimuli. For example; People living closer to the Equator tend to have darker skin.

And variety can develop naturally, Darker skin parents having a child with lighter and reverse.

Not Evolution but inbuilt adaptability.

This conclusion does not eliminate the possibility of other "Mammals" of pre Adam history!

Life is just too perfect

The "Theory" of Evolution, I believe, led to the assumption that reptiles turned into birds.

Along with the adoption of the teaching of the "survival of the fittest".

Considering these, I wondered, How many Lizards jumped off a cliff, out of necessity or desire, resulting in the eventual ability to fly as a bird?

If they all jumped off a cliff, the only way to pass on this Genetic need, so as to mutate into another creature, they would need to first survive the fall (survival of the fittest). But that still is a big leap from a Reptile to a bird, this would require, The Bones, becoming hollow and light and wings with aerodynamic capability to somehow materialise, by itself, over millions of years? Come on!

A far easier explanation and assumption is that a superior being DESIGNED life, in all it's variety, according to it's kind. It is all just too perfect, no amount of "Time" and "Chance", could account for the shear magnitude of diversity and perfection found in life.

Man has always desired to fly like a bird, I haven't seen it yet, have you?

In fact, in the stream of time that life on Earth has existed, 'man' has only been in existence, even by sciences reckoning for but a moment??

Regarding the "Big Bang Theory", Really! Regarding such an event, ask yourself; where did the matter come from? What was the source of the immense energy required to Cause such an Event? And why is it so perfect, yet again? All the universe is not a place of Chaos, is it?

They claim this "Big Bang", this mistake of chance, a scientific fact, when it only leaves more questions than answers.

How, for example is the Earth STILL circling the Sun for billions of years and the gravitational force Doing it, is not causing it, or other planets to draw ever closer to it or eachother? Why is also that all things are mathematically correct or perfect?

There is no explanation for light and heavy gravity other than it is FIT FOR PURPOSE, along with all the "Mysteries" of the Heavens. They too obviously are designed and made, JUST SO!

I can only conclude that all things are just too perfect in design to be a mistake or chance.

If it wasn't all, "Just So!", there would be no resolve and no clarity, in either math or science, only questions and chaos would remain.

The Bible however stated thousands of years ago, even before the "Earth was flat" theory, that the Earth was hanging on nothing and that it was shaped like a sphere. It has only been a puzzle to men, not God.

Then regarding human culture and religion, I reasoned their must be a God, for if not, Why so many faiths?

Ancient cultures have stories, all confirming Bible texts; One pair of parents for all mankind, a flood that destroyed life on earth, apart from a limited number. In some stories, in a boat and even the number 8 in Chinese, I believe it is, is 8 people in a boat. All told for 1000s of years by cultures who didn't have the Bible.

Then there is the similarities in teachings found in many religions from many cultures. How could all these ancient cultures from all parts, isolated for thousands of years in some cases share such detail?

The Bible gives a reason in Genesis regarding the peoples being scattered throughout the Earth, taking their new languages and old teachings with them. Gen 11;7,8.

Then we come to another striking point, many believe in the spirit realm, and the like. Evidence points to their being some force behind this. I will not go into details, as such things are dangerous and not approved of by God. But clearly this indicates that there is more going on than the eye can see. Or science can explain.

Satan and the demons do much harm

Then we come to the Author of life and creation. He too is no "Mystery", "His Qualities are clearly seen", life and love are abundant with proofs of his wisdom and loving qualities, Romans 1;20-23.

His Word the Bible clearly backs this up. Many say; "Oh, the Bible is just a book of War and Laws". Not true!

Yes! The Bible does Relate how, on many occasions, accounts of wars and conflict throughout time, these are either to show how God was "the God of Salvation" to those in a covenant relationship with him. But if they serve him in faithfulness, wars cease.

Time and again he raised up helpers, ones to aid the spiritual standing man had with God. Either prophets or Men and Women of Fame.

Similarly; when I began an earnest study i found that what the Brothers showed me was more than logical, even understandable. The Law was not a set of do's and don'ts, it had a purpose.

It was "a tutor leading to Christ" and a way of worship that was a "shadow" of worship and life in heaven. A way for man to grow their relationship with God 'if' followed.

In addition, the Law's design was to set up as an elevated form of worship, so that it served as a beacon to any who would like serve the true God from other nations as proselytes'.

The laws primary purpose was to prepare the peoples for Christs arrival, in due season and ensure they were in an acceptable, Holy state, upon his arrival.

So, all this was further evidence that God was real. He did not leave mankind without any evidence or a witness that he was and is the living God.

This was also all recorded for us, today, to give us confidence and a measure, so as to "direct our feet" to him also, Jer 10;23.

Then comes Prophecy, What a marvel.

How anyone can read the Prophecies regarding the march of world powers, prophecy in fine detail that all have come true, and not be in awe, is beyond me.

Even the ruler Cyrus was named before he was anybody on the world scene.

The prophecies also in multitude regarding the birth, ministry and details surrounding the death of Jesus our Lord are likewise amazing.

The one's being fulfilled today, before my eyes. Of which it seems people have "Taken no note" of.

Just as Jesus said they would, are all coming true.

These things that I have listed today are just a fragment of the things that astound me, but all plainly obvious that God not only exists, but that he is LOVE, All his works are wonderous.

How can we not have faith with such a mountain of evidence. This information is available to all, Walk outside your door, and open your eyes, "Who created these things?" It can only be He who is "Dynamic in Power" and "purpose".

With faith, comes hope. Heb 11;1, "Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the EVIDENT demonstration of realities though not beheld".

This is talking mostly about our hope for things not yet seen. BUT; the things we can already see. The basis for faith are undeniable and inexcusable to ignore.

He is real, look for him, "'He' is not far off from each one" if you look.

The mash-up! "You must love Jehovah your God, with your whole Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength and keep His Commandments. If you do, you will be wise enough to bypass any trial with ease, and have an indefinitely lasting name with The Living One. Those who fail to take these things to heart, will suffer shame and fall short in a large way, all that is his, will be destroyed and cease to exist.

You who love Him, however, will flourish with joy, under the tent cloths of Jehovah, always." Ecc 12:13, Mark 12:30 and Ps 37:18-20.
