Matthew recorded in his Gospel account at 24:21,22, words that the Lord Jesus himself spoke that have Great importance for us in “The Last Minutes”, of “The Last Day’s” of this System of things.

In a previous Blog, entitled “The Great Tribulation”, we looked at prophecies found in the Hebrew scriptures that point to our day as a pivotal moment in mankind's history.

For the Bible indicates that God will soon take action in Earths affairs.

So necessary, that Jesus indicated that without God's intervention, Mt 24;22, "No flesh would survive".

ree

These words, “No FLESH would survive” have got me wondering. What exactly is meant by the word “Flesh” and “Survive”?

Lets first look up the root meaning of the word “Flesh” and see what we can dig up!

The word for Flesh is translated from the Hebrew words “ba-sar” and the Greek, “sarx”.

The meaning given in the Insight on the Scriptures, publication states that it. “Primarily refers to the soft substance of a physical body, weather man, beast, bird or fish; more specifically, the parts composed of muscle and fat”.

So then, is this the “Flesh” meant by Jesus on this occasion, simply referring to all living things? No! Why?

For one reason, this scriptural statement was part of an observation from God, of realities to come, given through the Lord Jesus. Pointing to how things would be, as experienced by those alive at the final breaths or leading up the final part of the last days.

In fact, if you read the verses before and after Mt 24:21 & 22 you will see it is encompassing a period of judgement, and includes direction given for all those who are seeking righteousness, with the preservation of their lives and more importantly, their personal relationship with The Living God.

So then, the “Flesh” in this instance is regarding Mankind alone. With what respects?

Jesus continued with the words; “Unless those days were cut short” no flesh would survive, “But on account of the chosen one’s, those days will be cut short”.

So, he was definitely talking about mankind, "the chosen one's" in particular.

Mark 13: 19,20, also says the same thing. However, he states “In fact unless Jehovah ‘HAD’ cut the days short”. He wrote "Had", as in an event that already taken place.

So the situation is, that Jehovah, The Living God, felt that it was necessary to intervene on the future events of mankind, on account of “the chosen ones”.

Jesus then in the following verses of Matthew and Marks accounts gives direct instruction for “the chosen ones”. How to conduct themselves and with what attitude.

Essentially, a period of change and judging is to follow, so be ready, keep alert and don’t allow yourself to be weighed down with anxiety and distractions of life. He goes on to assure and reassure us, He is coming in God’s name.

Mark 13:31 says; “Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away”.

Yes, we can and should be confident, that all things will land on the mark, nothing will fall short from God’s word or His expectation. Nor of what we need to focus on as we move forward into the next phase of human existence.

How exactly would things play out if God, by His Christ or Messiah did not “cut those days short”?

Jesus outrightly and plainly explains the predicament facing mankind and his offspring off into the future. For he said “No Flesh” would survive!

Does that mean we will be wiped out by nuclear war? What about by disease? Or a Meteor? or some other catastrophe? No! How do we know this?

Ec 1;4 explains that "The Earth is standing to times indefinite", It will always be here.

Also, after the Flood of Noah's day, God who cannot lie promised that He would not allow such destruction ever again, even due to men.

At Gen 9;16,17, we read; "And the Rainbow must appear in the Clouds, AND I SHALL CERTAINLY SEE IT to remember the covenant to time indefinite between God and EVERY LIVING SOUL among all flesh that is upon the Earth. And God repeated to Noah; "This is the sign of the covenant that I do establish between me and all flesh that is upon the Earth". In God's Mind He has an agreement or CONTRACT to never allow such devastation to occur.

Thus God swore to never allow the Earth and life on it "Suffer" due to men.

As we are now currently causing "Flesh" and life to suffer, due to the foretold "Great Tribulation", that is by our greed for everything and the resulting destruction. Joel 2;3b; Behind it is a desolate wilderness, and there has also proved to be nothing thereof escaping".

Surely He must act on this account also.

For a discussion of Joel 2; 2,3 see the blog #20 "The Great Tribulation".

Jesus words, recorded by Luke17;22-36, when discussing days to come with his disciples, He gives an example of two times in history that would mirror the first century in time.

And likewise, the End of these days. He pointed to Noah’s and Lot’s days. And in particular singled out Lot’s wife as a warning example.

I’m sure you know the accounts, how bad the people were in Noah and Lots time, going about their daily lives, ignoring the pleas of God through his faithful servants, Noah, his wife, their son’s and their wives. They were Preachers of righteousness, but none listened.

Despite having ones around them, from the former generation, those whose own lives overlapped with the former generation.Ones who could relate the things that befell Able, Cain and Enoch etc. They as Jesus said, “Took no note”.

ree

Similarly, the account about Lot and his little family. God sent Angelic messengers in Lots time. Living within the, so called, protective city of Sodom, they had a measure of certainty in life.

But the scriptures indicate that Lot was not enjoying himself, despite the so called benefits of dwelling among them. 2Pet 2:7,8. He was “Greatly distressed” and it “was tormenting his righteous soul”. Living among lawless peoples. That is ungodly, not guided by righteous principles.

ree

Jesus singled out 1 person as a warning example to all. Lot’s wife. Luke 17:22 he said “REMEMBER the wife of lot”, why? She missed the point of being one of Godly devotion. Loyal to right principles and imitating as we should, Jesus who, before being killed, said, “Not what I want, but what you want”. Despite the greatest discomfort, torment and sacrifice that was about to befall him. Jesus was more concerned with how things would reflect on God’s name, how it would be viewed by others.

How did Lot’s wife get so far off track that eventually she disobeyed the warnings was turned into a pillar of salt?

Lot is the nephew of Abraham, God’s friend. Abraham was to dwell in the land that was to be given to his descendants after him. He lived a nomadic life, not having a permanent roof over his head. They lived in tents. Moving from place to place, encamping here and there.

He had to purchase some land to burry the dead. But nothing permanent for him, his family, his little ones, which included his nephew Lot and his own family.

ree

On one occasion lot had to be rescued. Many Kings came up against the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah, subsequently lot was taken captive with all his belongings which would include his wife and daughters. They were rescued by Abraham, with God’s blessing, but afterwards remained in the district of Sodom and Gomorrah, likely at his wife’s urging.

She was formerly from a family and community in the city of Ur, the thought of living with neighbours and having comfort and a measure of security and possibly even things like goods readily available.

ree

To continue living in tents where threats were ever present, it’s not hard to see how one could long for the phycological security of a community, also in time, she had daughters promised in marriage to local men. She may have even reasoned; "God will send Abraham again to help, especially if she felt if things go wrong again", Abraham and God would help them.

Her own desires for a sense of security, if that was the issue, in reality, that was only an illusion she had created in her own mind, and this thinking was setting her on a path in opposition with reality, and God's will.

The scriptures clearly let us know just how bad society was for Noah and Lot. For Noah, the Genesis accounts say that “Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his "HEART was only bad ALL the time". And Jehovah felt regrets that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt in his heart”. Yes, they caused pain in the heart of our Heavenly Father. Ge 6: 5,6. Notice in verse 3. “My spirit shall not act toward man indefinitely in that he is also FLESH” The same word or term that Jesus used. Ps 78:38-42.

ree

Yes, the people back then I’m sure loved their children, maybe looked after their friends etc, but their motives or “HEART” was inclined toward selfish desire, violence was common, and Angels left Heaven and would “Hook up” with whoever they wanted. All this became accepted as normal.

ree

Sound familiar, today people “look out for number 1”, you may live near nice neighbours, some though can be horrid. Even the shocking ones will tell you they love their children. But even if someone is considered "a good" person, righteous standards are non-existent for most, Ro 5;7.

The police often are corrupt or violent, criminal like themselves.

Men troll internet sights looking for their next “SCORE” or “Hook-up”. Women just as in Noah’s day, accept this all as “the way it is”. They paint themselves up and have procedures to make themselves look exactly the same as the next girl. The result;

Instead of finding a life partner, they perpetuate the false economy of Sex as merit. No! It shouldn't be this way. Women are our future.

ree

Esther stood out as different.

If you keep putting yourself “out there” you are not going to find the security you desire.

You are just paving the road of heart ache for the young girls to follow. Do you really think that "maybe this one might be loyal, faithful, love only me", if he is accustomed to his weekly shop? You are supposed to be, Loved, Special. A real man wants an individual, “Warts and all”.

A note to young women, PLEASE stop degrading yourselves and your value.

As the core of society you belittle yourselves by taking photo’s that portray you as little more than a “SCORE”. Women for decades fought for respect and dignity. Surely, it’s time to get some back!

What are “Righteous standards”? Does it mean trying your best to be good?

Take a look at this scripture; Romans 5:7, “Fore hardly will anyone die fir a righteous man; for the good man, perhaps someone dares to die. But God recommends his own love to us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us”.

Did you catch the distinction between a “Good” and “Righteous” man. Yes, “even bad people do good things” as my wife says. She adds, “Good people,

occasionally do silly things”.

But a righteous person is a bit different still. Despite what is the accepted norm around them, they will stick to doing what is right according to their consciences, even at cost to themselves and their families.

Here are a few more scriptures you can look up to help clarify. If you have a Bible concordance, there are many more.

Mt 11:19 “wisdom is proved righteous by it’s works”. Luke 1:17 “the practical wisdom of righteous ones”. Lu 7:35, Ro 2:13 “doer of law not declared righteous” Ro 4:2 “Abraham declared righteous by – Faith” Gal 3: 8, 11, “Righteous by faith”. James 2:17, “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD”. Faith and sticking to your conscience, despite challenges is Righteousness, it IS the course of wisdom.

ree

Lot lived in similar surrounds. Invasions by neighbouring kingdoms and raiders were common. Violence, was normal. The sexual inclinations of many were accepted and tolerated.

In the account at Ge 19:4, “The men of the city surrounded the house” even boys., thoroughly corrupted, how would the coming generation behave? Did Lot call 911, did police come? No!

The people obviously just shut their doors and shutters. It must have caused some ruckus, but no help came. the sexual depravity was accepted or ignored, normal.

Does that mean all the men of the city surrounded the house? Well, no!

Those surrounding the house were struck with blindness at the Angels request to God. But later, once he was told to go, Lot went to speak to his future son’s in-law. They were not blind, were they?

Why would he ask them to come if blinded. But they obviously were happy to live among a society, violent, obscene, perverse.

Does this mean I’m homophobic, don’t be ridiculous. Even some of Jesus’ disciples were gay. Besides I try to follow Jesus’ directive; “Stop judging”, He loved all.

ree

The reality is though, that whether for security or a loathing for living a nomadic lifestyle; affected Lot’s wife to the point of longing to return to an entire region that was now being destroyed by God's finger.

The Angels gave simple instructions, “Don’t look back, flea for your lives”. Her Heart was still in Sodom, Her love for Lot, her Daughters, Her God, could not break the desire she had in her heart. Psychologically this was once explained to me it's, “Like a crab who lives in a shell in the ocean, when it outgrows it, it must leave the security of its home, find a bigger shell, and in the process, become a potential target for predators”.

If we are inclined to become anxious about things that God and Jesus assures us will work out fine. We could find ourselves caught up with this world as it goes away. That's why he gave us these warning examples.

Yes! Salvation comes at a price. Yes, it is a free gift, but you must “make sure of the more important things”.

For Paul prayed for us with words like these, “This is what I continue praying, that your love may abound yet more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; that you make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of the Christ, and may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise”.

It requires, Love. Love conquers all things, it compels us to push on despite hardship, loss of loved ones, loss of homes or financial security, loss of health and vitality. All these things and things like them are pressures, here today and gone tomorrow.

Why, didn’t you read, God IS LOVE. If you have listened to Jesus and the writings of his disciples. If you can see with your own eyes, factual evidence that the world is in BIG trouble and every word of His is being fulfilled before our eyes. Then, why “LOOK BACK”, you are his (Jesus’) inheritance.

ree

He will fight for you, just as Abraham did Lot, and he was subsequently bless you in abundance for your faith and personal effort. So Will Jesus be blessed yet further. Not only being the head and enthroned king of God’s Heavenly Kingdom. No!

He is soon to take the reins of Earth affairs. The Earth, Will become Eden, Paradise. We WILL Have Houses, We WILL Have food. We WILL have trial; we will NEED faith. It is important to REMEMBER though; all this is based in fact, indisputable Scriptural evidence and God's promise, you are valuable to him, you can do it. It is worth the fight! Mostly to become adopted sons and daughters of the Most High, the Living God. Here are just a few other, physical benefits.

ree

Flesh: from what I can see; represents, not mankind in general, not the animals.

But righteous individuals, driven by love-based faith, built on facts and accurate knowledge of The Living God, and trust in Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Big Brother.

And continually developing the sure knowledge that you are crucial in the future of God’s purpose; to have a home, and care for the Earth, filled with righteous happy people, a righteous community with everlasting life in view. Not a distant hope but laid out before us as a pathway through time.

It will take hard work to provide for all, especially our environment to be restored, but it will be a success that you can share.

ree

All to His praise and glory, with thanks to Our Lord Jesus and the great crowd of faithful examples, Heavenly and Earthly. Society is going down fast, so called “Minority groups” rule.

“Adult entertainment” and violence has become the norm, even for the young. Even he constant flow of false god’s that Hollywood vomits up is even worse than the unrealities of the stories of the Greek and Roman gods. Stories that hide the one god we should be admiring, Jesus. No!

He is not Almighty God. But just the same he being our appointed god and saviour will bring the folly of admiring all these others into light. For that reason, Revelation (Apocalypse) implores us to say “Come lord Jesus”, he WILL make all things new by means of God’s Spirit.

ree

Peter said- "Look we have left all things and have been following you". Jesus said; “Truly I say to you men, (And in turn all) No one has left house or brother or sister or mother or father or children and fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news who will not get a hundredfold now in this period of time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields, with persecutions, and in the coming system of things everlasting life”. Notice he mentions, “persecutions”? 2 Tim 3:12 “All living with Godly devotion will be persecution”. 2 Pet 2:9 adds “he knows how to deliver those with Godly devotion out of trial”.

ree

These three men knew bowing down to idols was offensive to God. When they refused the King threw them into a fiery furnace, heated 3 times hotter than normal. the result? The men who threw them in perished from the heat. But read what happened to these faithful men.

ree

Archaeologist's have uncovered furnaces just like this, from that time period, in that region.

Of course this account did happen, but added to the scriptures, the historical evidence helps build faith in God's word. "All things are possible to one who has faith" said Jesus.

It was difficult for Noah and the other 7. Faith conquered that world.

It was difficult For Lot and his daughters, Faith delivered them.

Faith cemented the Christian era.

Faith will be all that God needs to send Christ Jesus to bring in the new system of things, “In which, righteousness is to dwell”.

The societies in those time periods were making the raising of God fearing, righteous children practically impossible, hence the warning to "REMEMBER" the wife of Lot. Whether this was what Jehovah meant, that the ability to raise righteous Godfearing children, when using the word “Flesh” entirely.

Or that we (mankind) would eventually obliterate the possibility of life on Earth due to its mismanagement, I wait to learn. Either way, fear and psychological trauma. along with the obvious moral decay and the accepting "anything goes" as normal. The destruction of our planet and the inevitable strain on basic needs, would certainly make life very difficult for the coming generations to "get it right", that is, raise children in a safe wholesome environment.

Jehovah knows when to act, He also knows exactly how it will all end.

ree

The questions we all should be personally asking ourselves is. Can I let go........, or will I be like Lots wife? Can I move forward, along with fulfilled prophecy? Can I walk away from all this world has to offer? Can I say, GOODBYE, to Satan's wicked system of things?

It is best to get your head around these things now, so your heart may follow.

What if the internet stopped tomorrow? What if long distance travel was ceased? We do not know what changes exactly will be required on our parts, nor what is required to help the Earth and life on it begin the healing process, do we?

With faith, based on reliable facts, and building faith on things seen, as to fulfilled Bible prophecy.

We can; with a determined focus on the future and the assured promises from our Father who "Cannot lie".

Mankind, can and will get there. And so will you! "Flesh" will survive!

May you and yours be among the flesh, the righteous ones blessed by the Living God, and come under the protective umbrella of his King.

I hope this has been useful to you and your little ones, and maybe your not so little ones, lol. You are our future, His and my hopes, our love.

Man in expectation :)

The mash-up! "You must love Jehovah your God, with your whole Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength and keep His Commandments. If you do, you will be wise enough to bypass any trial with ease, and have an indefinitely lasting name with The Living One. Those who fail to take these things to heart, will suffer shame and fall short in a large way, all that is his, will be destroyed and cease to exist.

You who love Him, however, will flourish with joy, under the tent cloths of Jehovah, always." Ecc 12:13, Mark 12:30 and Ps 37:18-20.
